Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in one bowl.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until fluffy; add eggs one at a time with vanilla extract.
  4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk into the butter mixture until smooth.
