  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry apple vinegar or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1/2 a lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed and drained
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet, heat the unsalted butter and olive oil over medium heat until the butter melts.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the dry apple vinegar or chicken broth and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the fresh lemon juice, capers, and lemon zest; season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Cook for another minute or two to meld the flavors. If desired, stir in chopped parsley before serving.
