Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe but firm pears (Bartlett, Anjou, or Bosc)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • ¼ cup crumbled blue cheese (or Gorgonzola)
  • ¼ cup toasted walnuts (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash the pears and slice them in half lengthwise, removing the core. Place cut side up in a baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with lemon juice and honey; drizzle over each pear half.
  4. Sprinkle crumbled blue cheese and chopped walnuts on top of the pears.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes until tender but not mushy.
  6. Once done, remove from the oven, cool slightly, then drizzle with extra honey if desired before serving.
