  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups very hot water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, combine pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter (or vegetable oil), and vanilla until smooth. Mix into the dry ingredients to form a thick batter.
  4. Pour the batter into an 8-inch casserole dish. In a separate bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and chopped pecans; sprinkle over the batter.
