  • 1 small onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup crispy cooked turkey bacon
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meat sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef. Add diced onion and sauté until soft. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Mix in marinara sauce, crumbled turkey bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
  2. Make the béchamel: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in flour for 1-2 minutes. Gradually add whole milk while stirring until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Assemble: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese. Repeat layers and finish with cheese on top.
  4. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
