Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Season sliced chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  2. Cook linguine in salted boiling water according to package instructions; reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and parsley. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add drained linguine to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. If needed, add reserved pasta water for desired consistency. Return chicken to the pan and combine thoroughly.
  5. Serve warm garnished with fresh parsley.
