  • 1 cup butter (226 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water (60 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Chocolate chips for topping
  • Additional chopped pecans for garnish
  • Flaked sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients by measuring them out to ensure a smooth cooking process.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, sugar, salt, and water. Stir continuously until boiling.
  3. Reduce heat slightly and continue stirring until the mixture turns golden brown (about 10-15 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract, then fold in the nuts before pouring onto a lined baking sheet.
