  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time; then mix in milk and vanilla until combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just mixed.
  6. Pour half the batter into the pan; sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it.
  7. Add remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Use a knife to swirl through the batter gently.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Allow it to cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
