  • 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. While cooking, slice mushrooms and chop sage for easy prep.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil and sauté chopped sage until crispy, about 1 minute. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms along with minced garlic; sauté until golden brown, approximately 5 minutes.
  5. Drain the cooked tortellini and toss it in the skillet with mushrooms, adding parmesan cheese and crispy sage. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
