  • 5 Tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoon cake flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter (melted and cooled)
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Cream together the room temperature butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  2. Mix in eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Whisk together dry ingredients: cake flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; then combine with wet mixture.
  4. Chill the dough for an hour in the fridge.
  5. While chilling, mix filling ingredients until smooth.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Shape dough into balls, create wells for filling, add filling, and top with more dough.
  7. Bake on parchment-lined sheets for 11-13 minutes or until lightly golden.
  8. Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, cinnamon, melted butter, and milk together.
