  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon; cook for 4-5 minutes until softened. Stir in cornstarch mixed with water until thickened.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Flatten each biscuit from the can to about 1/4-inch thick.
  4. Place about one tablespoon of cooled apple filling in the center of each biscuit. Fold edges over and pinch tightly to seal.
  5. Dip sealed dough balls into melted butter, then roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  6. Arrange on baking sheet seam-side down and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving warm.
